& am now back in the regular usa after 30 days at las cruces<br/>
my bag intact<br/>
thanx to jeff & david of smugglers spa<br/>
who even endured momentary arrest by the county sheriff for speeding<br/>
as i passed by thinking it was the border patrol who had nabbed them<br/>
imagining by bag lost to the dogs & them in the can for quince dias<br/>

but he only just warned them & wished them a happy new year<br/>
<br/>
& my own passage of the dog patrol post was ridiculous too<br/>

no dog in sight<br/>

a lovely blonde pokes her head out the door of the trailer & says hi<br/>
do you have anyone in the back of the van<br/>
no maam i say<br/>
she waves<br/>
i never even came to a full stop<br/>
<br/>
after all that fussing i felt pretty silly too<br/>
but very glad to be here now reporting it to you nevertheless<br/>
as i run out of time at the desert sage branch of the phoenix library<br/>
