the approach to cae on the california side is closely guarded public
property & is also protected naturally by 2 barrier zones of
pricklies separated by a practically inaccessible albeit irrelevant
alluvial zone
so if you want to reach dry cae on any given day
either come in by boat or wear boots & chaps etc

this point will fall in any event very near the end of a disused
public boat launch
in fact probably not far upstream of this best available landmark
depending on dam releases etc
but if you really care
better bring some means of precise orientation
or you will be guessing your way around a long curving riverbank there

absolute cae however
if we can believe topozone
& i think in this case we probably can
is a wetpoint situated somewhere along the channel center line in the
wide reach of river just downstream from dry cae

& a point on the arizona shore just above dry cae
& therefore a bit farther above absolute cae
but probably no more than 1500 feet from either target point
can be easily reached via a public or private boat launch
not sure which it was tho
for a dramatic class c photo op encompassing both target points
without any need for flotation or other special equipment

however you will need to remember to bring a camera & film for this
which i neglected to do
