proceeded without additional findings from hockessin library
& as directly as possible this time
to the anticipated position of the original post marked west

& found it triple barb wired over bramble thickets & poison ivy
& hadnt a clue how to proceed the final 528 or 880 feet
from the fox den road junction
when a guy pulled over next to me & asked me if i was geocaching
hahahahaha
i said well sorta
but the cache was the headpost of the mason dixon line

& tho unasked
for i have stopped asking directions except from pretty women
he confirmed its existence on the spot
can you dig it
& then he gave me careful directions for a easier approach from the
north side
via white clay creek state park

& if you can imagine half a mile on white clay under autumn leaves in
the rain thru a deer hunting preserve with archers in the blinds at
dusk & me perfectly camouflaged to look like a deer
then you can imagine the extreme delicacy of the situation

but frankly the only thing that stopped me was the diminishing
probability of getting off a good pic in the gloaming
& i admit i was again lost
& couldnt decide among 4 different probable positions
based on various directions
but all in different directions

so i figured lets prolong the pleasure & just boogie down to newark
for the evening as i know m&d would also have done
& resume the try in the morning

but i no longer have any doubt i will actually find something in the
light of day tomorrow

& i have also btw already come to the tentative conclusion that
topozone drifted east on me about 20 feet per mile while panning south
15 miles from the stargazers stone to the original post marked west
just in case anyone cares to know about the accuracy of such tools

& my earlier guess of 880 feet wsw of the streetcorner now looks much
better than the topozone abetted guess of 528 feet sw of it

but more on this after i find the mother

tonite its r&r in newark
