or more explicitly
do the 3 belgian phonic or ethnic regions
or whatever they really are
http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/be(r.html
actually trump or merely coexist with the 10 belgian provinces
http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/be(.html#map
as the primary working subdivisions of the country

or yikes do they all somehow combine
to form a total of 13 equally primary subdivisions of mixed classes

because
if on the one hand we are looking only at the 3 super entities
then there are evidently no major internal tripoints in belgium

but if on the other hand we are looking only at the 10 provinces
then it seems there are the following 10 tripoints
anlivb
anovvb
bwhtna
bwhtvb
bwlina
bwlivb
lglxna
lilgvb
htovvb
htovwv

& finally if we are looking at both hands simultaneously
or all 13 regions & provinces combined
well i wont even think of what a mess that would be
unless it actually proves to be necessary

& the clavology of belgium seems to include
besides obviously baarle on the international level
internal clavities involving all 3 regions
& which also figure in at least 2 instances of interprovincial clavities

& these observations are even without considering the germanophone areas in
the first map
which dont appear to fit very neatly into either scheme
yet are themselves also discontiguous
hahaha

so anyway
how to tie down all this clavology is another question
which tho not pressing now because inapplicable to the internal tripoint
census
will however ultimately figure in the inventory of the binational tripoints
of belgium & its neighbors

just as was the case btw with those bosnian claves

& perhaps with those of many other countries too

so it may be well to bear in mind that such details are not without
punctological significance
even if they are of only secondary interest at the moment
