These three pictures are of the old stone marked the Russia-Sweden and later the USSR-Finland border until 1939. It is clearly visible in the 1930 shots on the Website: http://heninen.net/variskivi/english.htm

If you look on the old 1930 photos from the Website you can see border marker number 263, which is also visible in my Finland 4 photo. As the Website notes, it was damaged quite a lot over the years, but it's still in its original location, even though people used to tie their cattle to it and burn wood around it. In photo Finland 5, you can see the CCCP letters from the early 1900s. The other side says Suomi.
