The closest that one gets to any sort of mark for the border is the remains of
Fort Gibson. While a National Parks Service sign identifies the fort, it fails
to mark its modern significance. Since the points of the border marked the
waterline, once could then transpose the shoreline from older maps onto the
present-day island, determining the border.
