Murray River in SE Australia has been proposed over the years, most <br/>
recently only a couple of years ago, but while Canberra thinks it&#39;s good, <br/>
the locals don&#39;t.<br/>
As the Murray is a narrow river in a wide multichanneled watercourse, the <br/>
two towns are a couple of km apart.<br/>
