A joint municipality for Albury (NSW) and Wodonga (Vic) either side of the
Murray River in SE Australia has been proposed over the years, most
recently only a couple of years ago, but while Canberra thinks it's good,
the locals don't.
As the Murray is a narrow river in a wide multichanneled watercourse, the
two towns are a couple of km apart.
