This may seem a simplistic observation, but if the
orginal vennbahn treaty stated that five enclaves were
created, then there must be a break in German
territory, else they would not be enclaves, but would
be linked to the rest of Germany (at least those that
can be reached from the rest of Germany by passing
under a bridge)
