No, there is a 'short' section of Rus/Chi inbetween the closest
points of Kaz and Mgl. Gideon Biger's "Encyclopedia of International
Bonudaries" (1995, Facts on File, NY)says it is 25miles (40km),
compared to the main Manchurian section of russo-chinese border which
is 2240miles (3605km).

So that raises a question, how many countries have 2 separate borders
with another country, and do any have 3 separate sections?
Russia/China
USA/Canada (though the 2 American sectors aren't joined by American
land, but by sea)

any others?
Is it a coincidence that the 2 that come to mind immediately are 4 of
the largest countries around?
