Ok, Duh, the Boston enclaves were easy to remember,
but I forgot them. Anyway, since there are only two
enclaves in the Boston area and nine in the Denver
area, I happen to think that Denver is more
interesting. Especially since some of the enclaves
are size of blocks or less. What is the point of such
enclaves? I have no idea. By the way there are two
counties in Tenessee which has fragments very thinly
connected, and they may be interesting too.
I would like to make a web page. However, my domain
server gave me trouble not taking pictures. If you
want, I can go for a text page of quadripoints. Or
somebody can give me a domain where I can upload. We
may also want to go for quintipoints at even lower
levels. Another interesting thing I wanted to mention
was the enclave of Hebei that was created between
Tientsin and Beijing when the two aforementioned
city-provinces expanded and touched each other. If I
am not mistaken, there are four tripoints between the
three provinces. Are there many others?
There are two other international enclaves that I want
to mention. One is the Likoma Islands, which are
Malawi territory, whose territorial waters around the
islands are completely surrounded by Tanzanian waters.
The second are five pieces of German territory in
Belgium. What happens is that there is a railway,
which is not only owned by Belgium, but it also owns
the land on which the rail goes. When the railroad
goes into German territory and comes back, it creates
enclaves of German territory in between Belgium and
the railway. There are five such enclaves. The
enclaves show up as enclaves in German and Belgian
topo maps.
