understood & understood
our safety must come first

btw i dont know if i mentioned it at the time but i seem to recall a news
item about a similar okeechobee flyover that was made exactly or almost
exactly at the same time as your own by the then brand new czarina of the
dep christy todd whitman who used the occasion to vow to restore the lake to
pristine condition

did you happen to see her sail past your cockpit on air force 2 or something

pristine christine i like to call her
from new jersey yet too

so i figure our buoy & your afterflight had a real effect
given all the other political overtones & coincidences of our expedition to
the then also still newsworthy palm beach & martin etc counties
etc etc

but as far as a second annual recovery is concerned
i was already preparing to scotch the idea of our renting a plane for you to
fly us there since i already realized the likelihood of poor weather
so that is no real loss
& i wrote off a float plane charter too since that seems as unlikely as an
airboat on the surface of that normally choppy water

which leaves either a 4seater helicopter charter
& i do recall how you have no great love for helicopters
at 800 to 900 simoleons an hour
for one chanced to drop in at ozello yesterday with that data

or else the czechoslovakian mig also starting at 800 dollars
each
yes each because it is only a 2seater

or else of course another boat ride
but i am so wishing for something fresh

so basically what it seems to me to boil down to is we need to get a bp
scholarship for the mig & hope the owner will even do it for us at the basic
1600 for the 2 flights even tho okeechobee is a little ways from his only
usable airport at marathon key
tho that might not be so far at the speed of sound come to think of it
& at the other extreme a stall speed of even 100 knots might be slow enough
to at least spot the buoy with a gps in hand

anyway i would put it to the group to help us out here

indeed i was thinking maybe even those handsome & bighearted & well heeled
butler brothers would particularly like to chip in to help us break their
own charter expense record

that way they would even be able to keep the new record in their own old
name since we would simply be serving as their sit ins in this case
& we would only get an asterisk in harrys hall of boundary records next to
their names
etc etc

but anyway
as the very health of the lake & of all lakes everywhere could still be
hanging in the balance here in all our buoyant gestures & capers

er
what do you or what does anyone think of any of this so far
as i need to give up the computer again
