& i have the impression that all the sovereign territorial claims there were <br/>
not just frozen but were actually frozen definitively & permanently by the <br/>
terms of that 1959ish treaty into a human heritage reserve<br/>
or really frozen into the mold of what we have finally figured out is legal <br/>
everyones land<br/>
& that this everyones land has since been compounded together with the <br/>
everyones water & ice in all the high seas human heritage areas similarly <br/>
frozen or liquidated in perpetuity<br/>
& thus also universalized  or opened by unclos  in the 70s & 80s<br/>
<br/>
& that all this specially reserved land & water & ice<br/>
perhaps augmented by a few scattered unclaimed guano rocks etc<br/>
comprises a new regime & real entity in international law<br/>
& is in fact the greatest part of the world<br/>

at least that is the idea of everyones land that i have so far<br/>

the recent news from jesper that denmark may press a claim to the north pole <br/>

the subsequent suggestion about the ile de la conference was however <br/>
actually a bit off course<br/>
  as i think you said jesper<br/>
because the only bidassoa binational tripoints actually confirmed so far <br/>
occur much nearer the mouth of the bidassoa<br/>
at the front & back doors of the condo bay i seem to recall<br/>
while i believe peter smaardijk is still checking for the true situation at <br/>
the ile de la conference<br/>
which appeared to him at last report not to involve tripoints<br/>
because the international boundary along the thalweg naturally bypasses the <br/>
condo island & leaves it as a condo clave<br/>
