When we set sail May 19 on the QE2 I had hopes of getting
close enough to NJ-NY-US to get a picture close to the
point. By the time we got out of New York harbor and under
the bridge, the light was already starting to fade and it
was hazy. I stayed up on the bow for quite a while with
my GPS but didn't want to miss dinner so I quit when we
were still about ten miles from the tri-point. I took a
picture in the right direction but I'm sure it is far
down on Mike's list of tri-point verification numbers.

We did get to check out the Prime Meridian and my GPS was
only off 0.2 second using European 1979 Datum. I got a zero
reading by moving about 11 feet into the Eastern Hemispere.
It was a holiday and there was nobody at the observatory
who knew anything about the datum base.
