ps
mee alert
mee alert
continental mee & dry mee & mee are of course not the same

continental mee at quoddy head is easy at low tide

& dry mee on some rocks just southeast of there is i think not so easy
tho it can be approximately photographed at low tide from continental mee

but if the fog lifts
or even if not
do point kayak or camera 3 nautical miles or 18232 feet southeast of quoddy
head
or about halfway toward the north end of canadian grand manan island
hopefully visible on your south southeast horizon
& you will thereby also bag true mee
at approx if not precisely
north lat 44d 47m 39s 10h &
west long 66d 53m 07s 50h
best i can figure
nad83

also some lunatic may quibble about easternmost maine not really being the
same as easternmost united states
& there may be some room for argument based on public law 31
see bus&ss p46
plus a more careful measurement than i have been able to make
but i doubt it

some other lunatic may say the easternmost point in the united states is
really situated at
east or west long 180 00 00 00
in amchitka passage in the aleutians
& he will be right

& a third lunatic will say it is on the east shore of semisopochnoi island
just west of there
actually at about
east long 179d 47m
& he also will be right
