the kentucky bend exclave bubble is the least of it here
west kentucky has a longstanding habit of falling apart
first there are the 2 major rivers that separate it from the eastern part
the cumberland & tennessee
then there is that wild jog in the tennessee boundary west of the tennessee river
then there are 2 marooned areas west of the mississippi river
i mean not counting the exclave as being west of the river
both of which i hope to visit later today if there is still a ferry at columbus
& unless there is a ferry
you cant even drive to missouri from kentucky without passing thru illinois or tennessee
yes amazingly zero bridges it seems
not only to the exclave but also to the 2 other marooned areas
so these areas are looking totally out of it
i wonder
could they be even cooler than exclaves
we shall see
