Hi everybody - by surfing around last night I found
two very exiting sites that might interest you all:
1- The university of
Tuebingen/Germany did some interesting research on
"Grenzstädte", border
towns in Eastern Europe and the impact of new
boundary lines
in the new countries that were established after the collaps
of the Sovjet
Union.
a- there's a
nice picture of the new Estonia-Latvia boundary dividing the town
of
Valga/Est.-Valka/Latvia.
b- another
interesting photograph shows the River Narva, forming the
border
between the
towns of Narva/Estonia and Iwangorod/Russia.
These pictures can be seen on:
2- Up to now, the only
quadruplet-point I knew of was the UT-AZ-NM-CO point
in the US - but: does anybody know
the following quad-point:
Botswana-Namibia-Zambia-Zimbabwe near the town of Kasane
not far from the
Victoria Falls...!? I could kick myself in a certain place for not making
any
research when
I visited Vic Falls 20 years ago...pity!
Bye for now
Peter
