thanx again to grant
now the 12nmers will have to play catch up

so everyone please do feel free to run or not to run with any or all of
this counting
especially to suit & promote your personal interests &or tastes

incidentally to backtrack a little
regarding the esthetics of diluting the precious dry clave wine with a
bunch of saltwater island claves
please remember that anyone is free to ignore these wonderful freaks of nature
while i confess i do rather fancy their wonderful contrariness
& their own quality of rarity
whether they are counted as a function of 12nm or 200nm limits
or whether embedded in territorial seas like oz in papua
or like liberty & ellis islands in new jersey
tho i would submit this last type is much less negligible
& actually rock solid as a clave mereotope

also no need to be too put off by the fact that innocent passage has a
better time of it at sea than on land
since it is also honored on land but only to a lesser degree

the world is equally free for all whether wet or dry
but it is just a little easier to be free at sea
& harder to stop what you dont want from happening

but one new thought to add to the exercise of determining consensus reality

as you know i was intending to stick with de jure boundaries only

but to do this ignores the fact that claims of sovereignty over most small
islands are unilateral & tend to be de facto rather than strictly de jure

in this case occupancy & possession really do seem to be more than 9 tenths
of the law

so i would like to acknowledge this as an additional form of consensus reality
even tho i may seem to be compromising the integrity of the original idea
for i think this really is an improvement
& what fun it will be to try to sort out things like the spratlies on this
basis

eventually anyway

too sleepy now
