so far<br/>
we have one mereotopology of claves based on political boundaries alone<br/>
& another based on the boundaries plus any associated water separations<br/>
& perhaps a third one  if anyone likes  based only on water separations<br/>
<br/>
& there may be other members yet to be heard from with still other schemes<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
& so long as we can distinguish the various schemes from one another<br/>
clarity reigns<br/>

naming each scheme simply & unmistakably might help<br/>
as might using different terms within each scheme<br/>
as might considering each scheme in turn separately<br/>
& we appear to be well on the way to doing all these things<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
but it seems to me that before we can proceed much further with the claves<br/>
we need to return again to the countries themselves<br/>
to consider what a country is & which countries we are going to include<br/>
& which countries  or what in the world if anything  we are going to ignore<br/>
since what we seem to be talking about is  parts & their wholes<br/>
