a hoped for internal canadian version of point roberts
& 2 more potential crown waters tripoints with it
at the north end of the onpq boundary in the james bay area
all seem pretty well busted now by an 1898 citation in nicholson
taken from the statutes of canada 61 victoria cap 3
which says
the quebec boundary runs due north with the ontario boundary
to the shore of james bay
& thence northeasterly
following up the said shore to the mouth of the east main river
etc

thus there is no mention of the due north line resuming across the tongue
of land
nor have i found any evidence of such an outcome
despite the clear protuberance of the land there

you can zoom it up distinctly on multimap btw
& perhaps you will be as disbelieving as i am
but this is probably a dead issue now

the search for the 6 stikine tripoints however continues in suspense
because the limits of the estuary are very hard to discern from here
& probably even moreso for not knowing the right version of low tide

indeed it may be necessary to go & taste for salt along the caus line in
each of the 3 channels at all possible versions of low tide
