Denmark joined the Schengen -
agreement 3 weeks ago. This mile-
stone on the way to more European
unity means no more border controls
= open borders within most of the
EU-countries (Britain and Ireland are still out...) The day after
this historical date I had the privilege of witnessing the removal of a
small Danish custom house at the border north of the (Ge) village of
Arentoft, some 5-6 k's south of Toender/Dk.
Boundary marker no. 228 reading "DRP = Deutsches Reich Preussen) can
be seen just behind the marker "763" (that's no bound.stone however..)
plus the truck removing the old control building... enjoy
