in the section entitled what are crown lands
surprised me by implying that crown may mean not only the federal
government but also a provincial government as well

aha

if this is true
then all the canadian crown inland waters may well have been fully
distributed to the provinces & territories
& thus may not produce federative tripoints at all

aha

so maybe no need to get drunk without a life jacket in ontario after all

& if that is the case
then all the dreaded myriads of hypothetical freshwater federative tripoints
both the internal ones & those on the caus line
simply dry up on the spot
leaving only the maritime crown waters tripoints still probably intact

anyway i certainly hope this is all true
because then the analysis could be completed fairly easily
& in esthetically pleasing & even & round numbers to boot

granted that there would still be at least several possible views
& with all due respect to them
but following the nicholson information previously culled
i would summarize the major domestic multipoints as follows

0 multiprovincial points
4 mixed status multipoints all on the 60th parallel
10 mixed status coastal federal waters multipoints well scattered
26 multiterritorial coastal federal waters points all arctic

40 total legally real primary subdivisional multipoints

& i would summarize the tripoints on the caus international boundary as follows

18 mixed provincial or territorial & state tripoints on inland boundaries
8 crown waters & provincial or territorial & state tripoints on coasts
4 crown & american & state waters tripoints at 3 mile limits disputed

30 total legally real mixed interfederative tripoints

ahh
that feels good
