oops yet again
as i got both the wrong book & author
for that map of the median line on lake michigan in message 2025
& sincerely apologize for the confusion

instead it was probably from a 1940 book by s w boggs entitled
international boundaries
a study of boundary functions & problems

still seminal i think
but irrelevant
