Ada is a deltaic island of about 4 km sq at the extreme south end of the Croatian coast.  I believe it was once a swimming beach, and may still be.  Its name is part of the Balkan's Ottoman legacy: it means simply "island" in Turkish.

The map I have shows the border going down the Buna River between Ada and Albanian Mali Ada.  Let me know if it is in fact divided.

Can anybody help to locate this island? http://store.corbis.com/search/about_pic.asp?navid=decorate/prints&imageid=10783847&alphaimageid= Jesper
