members nonplussed or puzzled by bills & my interest in florida multipointing deserve a fuller explanation of its importance

beginning at the beginning with laorospo

the quadripoint of lake & orange & osceola & polk counties

centrally located in downtown toon town

at the corner of disney world & yogi bears jellystone park

& besides that distinction

as also previously mentioned or hinted

laorospo is really a sort of ground zero for our egroup

since it is both the only dry megapoint of our host bills home county

the identity of which is btw a closely guarded secret

& it is also the quadripoint depicted on the cover of the ubiquitous delorme florida topo atlas that adorns the dashboards of most snowbirds & many locals here too

as well as the point where bill & i began the collaboration that has since grown to become boundarypoint itself

but beyond these chance factors laorospo is an intrinsically interesting & challenging point owing to its strange location & angular alignment on the shoulder of a busy highway amidst a daunting array of red herrings that range from right of way indicators to various electrical installations to unknown construction markers

laorospo is also one of only 6 quadripoints & 7 megapoints in all among the total of 78 multicounty points formed by the 67 so recently famous sovereign counties of florida

all 7 of the majors are in the southern half of a state whose single tristate point is in the far north

so they do very successfully relieve any sense of multipunctual emptiness or desolation that might otherwise be felt in this vast & otherwise sunny peninsula

so if you are a believer in trypointing where you happen to be as well as in going off to faraway countries to do it

then you will immediately understand that when you are south of alflga the tertiary level of megapointing is probably as good as it is going to get

& world class in its own right
