hi everybody
I can't believe your quick responses to my little summary of tripoints in
Europe.
At the moment I am really only interested in historical boundaries. I
collect historic information about boundary-lines in Germany -and here
especially boundaries in Hessen-. This ammounts to only a small part of
your "Tripoints of the world".
If anybody is interested in some pictures of tripoints from 1780-1785 (long
ago, but it is very interesting for me to look at old treaties and old maps)
between the "Freie Reichs Stadt Frankfurt and the Earl of Hanau and so on, I
will show you some specials later on. So its also possible for me to show
you pics from several tripoints, which today no longer exist.
So, let me know your decision, but you have to realise, that my prefered
laguage is German and my English is only good for
asking for a gin and tonic" in a pub.

Jesper, the boundary-line between BE / NL starts at no.1 near Aachen (your
Tripoint debene) und ends at no. 369 near Knkokke / Belgium. I enclose a
picture no. 369. The iron monuments bears only the arms of the Kingdoms of
Belgium, the Netherlands, 1843 for the year of delimitation and the current
numbers no. 1 til no. 369. A insign for the direction is not notified.

Michael, the whole distance between no. 1 and no. 369 is more than 250
kilometers and I think that is more than 10 days walking. So try it and tell
me about your impressions while I sit in my chair, still smoking and
drinking some German white wine.
My infos about "Baarle" are completely out of Internet-pages, sorry.

See you and "Tschuess"
