In the same yard, more TFM
locomotives are seen in the poor
light of a vertical sun as they await transfer
duties between the American railroads in
Laredo, Texas, and TFM's new yard at Estación
Sánchez, Tamaulipas, about 12 miles to the west
on the highway toward Anáhuac, Nuevo León.
Mexican customs and agricultural
inspections, which were formerly done at
the international bridge, have been
relocated to Sánchez. Note that the
second track holds a line of UP locomotives, while
the far unit on the first track wears the
vestigial FNM livery.
