This photo was taken from aboard BCh 1000 as it and BCh 501 go backward down a grade to retrieve the second half of their train while doubling a hill.

The BCh line was taken up in 1988. Its H-16-44's were stored for a time at a BCh sawmill at Madera, Chihuahua, then later near Chihuahua, Chihuahua. There is now no indication of their existence, and they seem to have been sold for scrap. The SW1 now works at the COPAMEX pulp and paper mill at Anáhuac, Chihuahua.
