It's 8:11 on the dark morning of Tuesday, March 14, 2000, on TFM track along Avenida Manuel Barragán in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León. This series of photos by Alejandro Ruiz documents the northward return of an Amtrak inspection train, which had traveled from San Antonio to Monterrey the previous day. By all reports, the inspection went very well, and a formal proposal for Amtrak service to Monterrey was to be developed.
