here come pics from ogrodniki-lazdijai boder between Poland and Lithuania (Poland - Sowjet-Union very short time earlier)
 
pic1: coming to the border
pic2: borderguard, borderposts
pic2-det: detailed border-posts
pic3: transfer of cheap sowjet-patrol to poland
 
the pics were taken in the days of late august 1991, when lithuania gained independence.
allthough they were independent only polish people and peope from redcross could go through.
