My friend Vito La Colla, who occasionally writes about
geographical curiosities on GlobalGeografia.com, has
notified me of this interesting article on the border
of the Vatican, by one of his colleagues:

http://globalgeografia.com/europa/scv1.htm

The article is in Italian. I do not know enough to
offer a translation, but anyone is welcome to give a
hint on the highlights.

A googled translation, for what it's worth, is here:

http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fglobalgeografia.com%2Feuropa%2Fscv1.htm&langpair=it%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools

Yours,
M
