Dear John-Lucas,

normally those "no-mans-lands" between two nations don't really
exist. One can get the impression there would be one since the custom
offices are some hundred meters apart. In case were there still are
custom offices like on the Romanian-Hungarian border, for example,
the land between is under the jurisdiction of the country it belongs
to. The border itself isn't a line, so the borderline has no
measurable wideness. Just imagine two sheets of paper laying next to
each other so close that they touch on one side. This is like
countries fit their boundary lines.

As far as I know there's no piece of land in this world thats not
under the jurisdiction ar at least the claim of at least one nation.
Even the Antarctica is partet in several districts and some nations
claim their souvereign rights on these parts of eternal ice.

But also some countries like the USA don't accept any claims on
Antarctic terrortory.
