in the interests of finality & accuracy & fairness
there is really no reason to even wait for friday nite
nor the impending judaeo military coup in absentia
etc etc
before certifying our own first state winner here at boundary point
so
o

o
you heard it here first
& we are now projecting
the true winner
on tie break
is
bill
for showing up
with everyone else in a dead heat
so far
the correct answers & other poignant details are as follows

first pic
in foreground
monumental den or the northernmost monumented point in delaware
aka depa arc mile post 15
http://www.rdms.udel.edu/dgs/boundary/ID151.html
n lat 39d 50m 21s 26
absolute den probably also appears in background of photo
a short but still unknown distance slightly north of due west from the monument
down the hill & probably just across the creek there
where jc may also be seen marking its best guessed position in the woods
second pic
monumental dee 1751
aka demd mon 0
same url as above but change 151 to 1
w long 75d 03m 19s 185
the little white stone just to the right of the light house
2 blocks west of ocean beach at dry dese
is coincidentally the oldest de & md boundary stone
& probably the second oldest working state line stone in the country
after cte 1742 on the ctri line visited by brian in message 135
third pic
indistinct in foreground is demd arc stone 2
an original 1765 mason dixon stone probably intended by them to mark the
arc midpoint
same url but change to 120
but jc is standing at & pointing to monumental dew
aka demd arc stone 3 some 40 feet to the north
erected in 1849 to correct the mason dixon arc midpoint
same url but 121
w long 75d 47m 21s 7192
thus monumental dew is probably identical or nearly identical to absolute dew
& is situated on the same latitude as the new castle county courthouse
per the bible p81f & by topo comparison
fourth pic
monumental & absolute des 1751
aka transpeninsular bdy mon 5
same url but 6
s lat 38d 27m 03s 81561
great shot by jc of a rare pre mason dixon stone still in superb condition

first pic
desw at sunrise
locked vault at this historic corner also contains probably the final 1751
transpeninsular stone & the first mason dixon stone 1765
same url but 36
likewise 135
second pic
tangent point of complex curve near middle of depa arc
a rare interstate interclass tripoint involving 2 pennsylvania towns & the
unincorporated area of a delaware county
the unusual & quaint monument
very strangely
is not even reported by the otherwise complete state of delaware bdy mon
website
& it has a unique hand chiseled inscription that reads as follows
this stone marks the site of the old hickory tree on the delaware
pennsylvania boundary 1701
also a point in the east line of the manor granted by wm penn in 1701 to
his daughter letitia
the depa arc was first marked in 1701 & it included a blaze on the
mentioned hickory tree
so the monument is obviously much later than that
dating perhaps from the 1770s or 1780s
the period when delaware seceded from pennsylvania as well as from the
british empire to go it alone briefly as the first & only state of that
time
before eventually being joined by all 49 of the other united states
it was along this arc & only along this arc that that the first true state
line came into being
& it was at this monumented point upon it that the arc itself subsequently
fractured
as its westerly fragment pivoted & stretched a bit between 1849 & 1892 to
produce 2 distinct arcs with slightly differing radii & centers
third pic
wet m at dry dee with his back to absolute dee likely also visible behind
him here 3 nautical miles out to sea
the dry extremity occupies a barely perceptible coastal projection which
can also be discerned on the usgs topo to lie due east of st matthews
church in fenwick island
fourth pic
at dry dese 2 blocks east of the fenwick island lighthouse
jane stays dry & turns her back to absolute dese
aka the demdus federative tripoint
situated 3 nautical miles out to sea
where delaware & maryland state waters meet federal territorial waters
also likely visible behind her here
demdus is probably the first of the 18 united states marine tripoints to be
successfully photographed
