Yes and no. Yes, I mean East Timor, which new official name even in
English is Timor-Leste (see UN and ISO documents). They changed also
the code TP (former Timor Português, i.e. Portuguese Timor) to the
new TL.
Timor-Leste is in Asia or in Oceania (I've seen both), depending on
where you set the continental border: in Timor, in Papua, or
somewhere else. (The East Timorese people is ethnically classed as
Austronesian).
Well these arguable issues depend much on "international
understanding", as you said.
