A very short and general information about Jungholz and Max (in German only) is to be read on

The article mentions the boundary regulation of 1844 and 1850, custom law of 3 May 1868 which joins Jungholz economically under Germany.
 
It also says among other that Max used to be a school headmaster and wrote municipal year books. At the tourist information his «Dorfbuch» (Local history book) is available.
