It's some of the wooden markers between DEDK. A stone would be too heavy and you will sink. A person (like Peter Hering) can also sink, so wearing rubber boots would be a good choise for a border freak (like Jesper).
 
It's a zink hat, protecting it from the weather I guess. There are no direction on these markers.

Border marker 41a from DEDK lake Nyhus Sø. As you can see the lake left the border. But the borderland is still very wet (just ask Peter H, he can tell the story)
