further search of the brazilian site mentioned yesterday turned up photos
of 2 additional tri country points
the 9th & 10th to be collected here
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/bo1.html is an aerial photo of the bolivia
brazil peru tripoint situated where the rio yaverija enters the rio acre
& tho the map at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/pe0.html seems to indicate
that the photo must be flopped
i have been assured by mr krukoski that this is not the case but merely an
illusion caused by the limitation of the map scale
&
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/coleti.html is an aerial photo of the
brazil colombia peru tripoint situated within a side channel of the rio
amazonas probably near the lower right corner of the photo
as the map at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/pe2.html seems to indicate
in addition photos of witness monuments for 2 other tri country points are
also shown at the same site
& these may as well be collected & counted at least temporarily
until photos of the points themselves can be found
the exact bolivia brazil paraguay tripoint is about 350 meters behind the
photographer of the witness monument pic at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/bptrip.html at the confluence of the rio
negro & rio paraguai as suggested by the map at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/bo3dd.html
& the exact argentina brazil uruguay tripoint is probably at the
confluence of the rio quarai & rio uruguai just behind the photographer of
the witness monument pic at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/13pinice.html
as suggested by the map at
http://www.info.lncc.br/wrmkkk/umap3e.html
this last mentioned point is btw probably the southernmost tri country
point in the world
the northernmost one has evidently already been found by jesper
but i dont know which one it is yet
the westernmost is apparently el salvador guatemala honduras
the easternmost is apparently china north korea russia
& all 4 are subject to preemption by unknown maritime tri country points
