A very long time ago, Arif mentioned the exclaves of Moscow city. The
city of Moscow is a Russian administrative entity of the primary level,
i.e. equal to provinces, territoria, and autonomous republics. It is
not part of Moscow province, the area that surrounds it.

Arif found four Moscovian exclaves (this is the number he mentions on
his web site as well). Now, with the help of a very good online map (at
www.eatlas.ru :
http://www.eatlas.ru/scripts/ymap.dll/map.html?name=1030652391530&sz=1&map=msk
, a feast for the eye indeed) and some legislation on the official web
site of the City of Moscow (
http://www.mos.ru/cgi-bin/alpha/con_law?6,28,5866 and
http://www.mos.ru/cgi-bin/alpha/lst_html?1132,1423 ), I can tell you
that there are in all eight Moscow city exclaves.

Looking at the map at eAtlas (the one you start with), the enclaves
are:

1. The big one in the northwest: Zelenograd. This is a city district in
its own right (together with the nine other districts in which Moscow
is divided: Central, North, North-East, East, South-East, South,
South-West, West, and North-West)
2 & 3. Akulovo, a tiny village, spread over two exclaves, in the north.
It is part of Vostonyj village (see below), Eastern district
4. Vostonyj, to the east of Moscow, a bit to the north. Part of
Eastern district.
5. Nekrasovka, also to the east of Moscow, a bit to the south. Part of
South-Eastern district.
6. Vnukovo, to the south-west of Moscow, the one that is closest to
Moscow. Part of Western district.
7. Tolstopal'cevo, to the south-west of Moscow, the one that is further
away from Moscow. Also part of Western district.
8. Mjakinino. A very tiny exclave to the west of Moscow. Part of
Rublvo village (see below), Western district.

Other "odd" situations: a couple of "almost-exclaves", in the sense
that they are attached to Moscow, but exclaves on the district level:
1. Rublvo, just south of Mjakinino (exclave no. 8). It is just linked
to Moscow (the North-Western district), but belongs to the Western
district.
2. eremet'evo airport. The northernmost "almost-exclave", due east of
Zelenograd (exclave no. 1). Together with Molaninovskij, to the south
of it, it is linked to the North-Western district of Moscow, but both
belong to the Northern district. eremet'evo is linked to
Molaninovskij by one bridge only!
