Though I did doubt that the islands shown are Tierra
and Mar, I am considering switching to the idea that
those two islands shown are Tierra and Mar, as I have
yet to find other islands nearby. It didn't seem
according to what I read in a Spanish encyclopedia
(which I did not photocopy for some odd reason)
according to area of the islands and direction, but I
might have translated wrong (West and East almost
looks same and , and . is switched between American
and Spanish). I still have no real evidence either
way and the islands are shown as Moroccan in too many
maps to convince me beyond a shadow of a doubt that
they are.
When I said the border drawn in Penon de Velez may be
wrong, I was talking about the line I drew in a
picture. The best map of the border I have seen is
the one just sent today, so my drawing the line was
only an educated guess.
I was the one who first mentioned that boundary as the
shortest and I have yet to find a smaller one as all
enclave ones are longer as far as I have found. I did
not expect it to become the majority opinion but am
glad it is looked at that way by boundarypoint now.
