Nice going Doug.  That pushes the origin of "tripoint" back a long ways.
Can anybody find an earlier use?

In reading the documents that Jesper's link pointed to, I was surprised to see the use of the word "tripoint."  It is used to describe the Norway - USSR border line from the Finland - Norway - USSR tripoint.  December 23, 1963.
