I lived in Berlin myself from 1986 to 1989 and also have an archive of <br/>
pictures. Here&#39;s two I took in May 1998 of Fichtenwiese and Erlengrund <br/>
and the Grosse Kuhlake from a plane. The pictures lay around for years <br/>
unseen and I only recently figured out exactly what the second one <br/>
was. <br/>

Sorry for the poor quality. The picture was taken on ORWO film <br/>
purchaced in East Berlin and the visibility throught the window of the <br/>
aircraft was bad. I only had a couple of seconds to take them and the <br/>
second one confused me for years afterwards. Apparently the Grosse <br/>
Kuhlake was walled off years after it was given back to the DDR. I <br/>
mistakenly assumed the second one to be the Eiskeller. I only heard of <br/>
the GK. recently.<br/>
