Hey acroorca2002,

I dig the old photos, man things have changed
(http://digthatcrazyfarout.com/oldtj/BoundaryStone.html)

In regards to the missing marker, they unfortunately assume on this
site that the last 2 post cards are of the same monument as the
previous ones but they are not. The first 6 photos show #258, the one
that overlooks the pacific and the final 2 postcards show #255, which
is at the san ysidro port of entry. I haven't found this one as of
yet but i know it exists and my research has revealed that it is near
where the tijuana river enters the US, which is just west of the port
(about 200 yards?), but I somehow suspect that it is just east of the
custom house, behind it. Everytime I am in the area I am just so
tired from the excessive waits to return to the US that i always say
that i'll find it 'manana'.

If you look at some of the photos of the above mentioned monument I
posted here on the 'photos' section and then under US/MEX border,
especially the one of it in the forground and the fence running in to
the ocean you can see where the original concrete base still exists
and the holes where the fence surrounding the monument were are still
visible, with newer concrete poured in a semi-circle around it. Just
like the post cards said it would be.

I also added another photo to the 'photos' section under the US/MEX
category of my car parked in the section of the wall that I had
mentioned earlier that is used to truck in water from TJ to SD for
recycling. This photo is much better than the other. Man anywhere
else but on this board people would think i am a freak for liking
stuff like that, but it's very enclave-like in that access for non-
water truck driving types is only through a foreign country. Not that
theres anything there of much interest, a pure techinicality only.
