tho frankly i dont read russian & dont even recognize half the cyrillic alphabet
that the original map was published in 1976 & that a 1978 redaction of it was overprinted in violet
especially with various boundary corrections or perhaps they are official changes that were made in the interim
but also depicting some new large scale constructions etc

oddly this heliotrope overprinting is the identical device used by the usgs to update its topos of the usa
& what fun puzzling thru this whole new soviet map collection
