welcome zoomer

it is true many of the places in our pictures are in europe

but there are boundary points you can visit all over the world

so if you wish

let us know where you are & we can suggest some points to try in your neighborhood

about the fate of the old markers when the boundaries they are standing on are changed

there is no single rule or universal procedure that is followed

often former international markers continue to mark internal boundaries in the country that has acquired them

but if no boundary at all remains on their spot the old markers are usually removed to avoid the confusion that would arise if they werent removed

& in that case they sometimes make their way to local museums

or might even be pounded into rubble on the spot
