reviewing the tripoint totals in your international boundaries file

i have found your apparently most probable grand total of sea tripoints 342

& likewise your apparently less probable totals of 344 & 346

including some unknown nz & tonga vagaries

when divided in each case by 2 to compute the number of everyonese tripoints

matches to within a variation of plus 1 or minus 1 the 172 everyonese tripoints you have indicated in the everyones land file

so a preliminary question is whether you can easily explain this slight wobble in the data

but assuming 171 or 172 or 173

couldnt we then also subtract these 342 twin participations from your apparently most probable grand total of all tripoint participations

which i take to be 1293

& thus reduce that to 951

before dividing it by 3

to yield most probably 317 tricountry points

to these 317 plus 172 or so

i would then add the 4 de facto tripoints on cyprus & the most probable count of 7 more de facto tripoints in the spratlys

& ignore the western sahara tripoint as i believe you have also done

to produce a perfectly round world total of 500

not entirely without wishful thinking in my case

but evidently also with some view toward objectivity

so i am wondering

can you or anyone confirm or adjust this total

before we call it a first complete world class total try

of course there is also the companion smaller count try still remaining to be made at the sovereign territorial level

most recently guessed at around 333

but the above count with your best advice added would seem to do it for the eez level

de facto & de jure & de falto
