adding a postscript to my proposed footnote<br/>
having had a closer look at this spratly distribution map<br/>
i believe we can now complete the defacto default territorial survey <br/>
of the globe<br/>
by simply giving full effect to the occupation of these islands<br/>
as well as for the territorial waters that go with them<br/>
& thus reaching the following fairly simple scheme<br/>

all the my & ph & vn islands apparently produce sufficient seas to <br/>
maintain contiguity with their respective motherlands <br/>
<br/>
the single tw island produces a single tiny tw exclave<br/>
<br/>
& the 10 ch islands apparently produce 3 much larger cn exclaves<br/>
with the westernmost island alone accounting for 1 of these <br/>
& the easternmost 5 islands together producing a second <br/>
& the remaining 4 islands the third<br/>
<br/>
bn has no islands & no exclaves<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
double checking for accuracy <br/>
as well as determining all the resulting multipoints <br/>
will have to await better maps <br/>
but it seems to me that all the frags & perfs based on dry land areas <br/>
& the projected seas are now at least accounted for<br/>
at least as of these 1996 data<br/>

only the best we can do<br/>
yet also enough to finish the job<br/>
