i confess i was fooled by how uncooperative the cosmos appears to be <br/>
weatherwise with tomorrows planned pilgrimmage to the maxipoint of the globe <br/>
in celebration of the palindromical groundhog millennium<br/>
<br/>
but then i recalled how uncooperative she also was the last time i called a <br/>
millennium<br/>
april fools 1997 to be exact<br/>
& in fact the very same millennium as i had predicted at punxsutawney<br/>
the prognostication capital of the world<br/>
exactly one groundhog quintennium ago tomorrow<br/>

but not only has the cosmos turned her other cheek again<br/>
it also appears that the entire sunbelt from florida to texas at least<br/>
is completely indifferent to groundhogs & their day<br/>

so like nobody around here even knows anything will be happening tomorrow<br/>
& in fact in all likelihood nothing will be happening anyway<br/>
or at least nothing the way i consciously planned it<br/>

but the try cant stop because the moon does appear to be completely ready <br/>
now & it was a date with destiny anyway<br/>
<br/>
so for my replacement or understudy caper or caprice<br/>
what with groundhogs & winter so scarce around here<br/>
i have been considering just going to a petting zoo to pick up a couple of <br/>
emus<br/>
or maybe i should just hedge my bet with a pair of hedgehogs<br/>
<br/>
but i dont know<br/>
that might be too silly<br/>
