 </span></blockquote>That double loop the (non-Danube) Croatian/Yugoslavian border takes<br/>
just south of the tripoint with Hungary seems to follow a canalised<br/>
tributary of the Danube which is labelled &quot;Ferenc-csat.&quot; once it<br/>
enters Hungary on my 1996 1:850000 map. As far as I can see from older<br/>
maps, it wasn&#39;t canalised as early as 1945 - I wonder if border, river<br/>
and canal all follow the same line, or if the canalisation has shaken<br/>
the watercourse loose from the old border?<br/>
