When I crossed the Eng/Sco boundary near Jedburgh, there were two monoliths,
shaped like the menhirs obelix carries in the Asterix books. They said
Scotland on one side and England on the other. Interestingly, the word
england was on the scottish side (of course it is an indication to scottish
trafic that they are entering Sassenachland).
They are tourist objects of recent erection, purely to be photographedi n
front of, and more difficult to move than the boundary sign at Coldstrwam,
that some enterprising but soused Scots larrakins got arrested for trying to
move further south a few years back.

ps with an email address like 'orc', I presume you have premiere tickets for
the Lord of the Rings release, and all the merchandising on lay-by?
