i confess i never did return to denio<br/>
  sounds almost like denial<br/>
but have been there at least twice before that i can recall<br/>
so i may fairly claim to have come close to ors without trying<br/>

for i noticed on topozone that in addition to the numbered wooden mileposts <br/>
from the 1873 survey<br/>
there are also the intervening corner pins of the public land survey system <br/>
marked there by red crosses<br/>
very probably of more recent date<br/>
where the usgs depiction of the nvor boundary also appears to deflect <br/>
slightly<br/>

& since we dont know if these pins are legitimate turn points or just <br/>
another tiny usgs miscomprehension<br/>
  nor whether topozone introduces additional distortion<br/>
we cant properly evaluate the positions of the mileposts nor of the corner <br/>
pins without the relevant paper topos<br/>
  say from denio to say 5 miles westward<br/>
    to judge from the state topo index maps<br/>
& since there are probably no nad data on these positions anyway<br/>
we must recover them all & lay a super deluxe gps on them all before even <br/>
forming plausible hypotheses<br/>

just to walk the line & claim a class b visit to a class a point<br/>

the complete cardinal news tour of oregon can wait<br/>
since ore means going back to hells canyon again anyway<br/>

but what will be new about oregon is that if i ever complete it<br/>
i will also make a claim to the rodman rim center point<br/>
for a complete star tour novelty<br/>

i realized i can do this because the usgs centerpoint data are only given in <br/>
full mile intervals except in a few small measurements of half miles<br/>
so when they say 25 they could well mean rodman rim<br/>
& i do call it rodman rim on the rebound<br/>
