Romania???

1996 Thomas guide map of LA.
Culver city is adjacent to unincorporated Baldwin hills, but together these
are surrounded by LA city. Thus both are enclaves of LA.
Similarly Orange and Avignon were adjacent but enclaved in France <1790s.

The Baldwin hills area, part of LA county, is obviously an exclave of the
county, while Culver city is not an exclave of anything.

Interestingly, Thos Guide p673 shows a section of Inglewood city surrounded
on N, W and S by Baldwin Hills, and on the E by LA city (which rins betqween
INglewood proper and Baldwin hills). The INglewood fragment is 4 streets
forming a loop, and a school!

Interestingly 2: the corridor of LA between Baldwin hills and Inglewood has
no roads going through it to connect fomr Hyde Park (in LA on the E) to
westchester on the W. W 63rd St is an E-W road in the E-W section of the
corridor, but the two ends connect to N-S roads, so require a resident to
get to the erst of La via Baldwin hills or Inglewood.
